jazzahead! is accepting applications for the showcases at its 2027 edition until 30 September 2026. That same day, the cheapest tier of the all-days pass expires. That pass is the route in for anyone who is not a registered exhibitor.
What has happened
The application period opened on 25 August and closes on 30 September. The trade fair runs from 22 to 24 April 2027 in Bremen, Germany. It selects 38 bands and artists, for sets of 30 to 45 minutes, and publishes the names in November 2026.
There are four modules: German Jazz Expo (majority of members resident in Germany), European Showcases (majority in Europe, excluding Germany, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), Baltic Showcases (the three Baltic states, partner region for 2027) and Overseas/Asia Pacific (majority outside Europe, with an added focus on Asia-Pacific). A Spanish project applies through European Showcases. A maximum of four applications per entity, and an artist can only apply for one module.
Why it matters
The detail that decides the cost sits on a different page. The official FAQ sets as a precondition that the band be proposed by “a registered exhibitor or a professional participant (all days)” at jazzahead! 2027. And the price scale for that pass goes up on the very day the call closes.
| Tier | Price | Period |
|---|---|---|
| Early Bird | €190.00 | Until 30 September 2026 |
| Autumn Rate | €205.00 | 1 October to 30 November 2026 |
| Winter Rate | €220.00 | 1 December 2026 to 28 February 2027 |
| Spring Rate | €235.00 | 1 March to 14 April 2027 |
| Walk-Up | €255.00 | 21 to 24 April 2027 |
From 1 October that same pass costs €205.00: fifteen euros more.
What to do with this
- Check who is proposing. It has to be a registered exhibitor or a professional participant with an all-days pass. Without that, the application does not meet the precondition.
- Secure that pass before 30 September, within the Early Bird tier.
- Allocate applications with the rule in front of you: four per entity, one module per artist.
Prices include 19% VAT unless otherwise stated. It is the kind of detail worth checking before setting aside budget. We have covered other industry gatherings in Radar Madrid and the FIMM conference.
